Javea (Xabia in Valenciano) is a stylish modern beach resort in the Northern Costa Blanca between Between Valencia and Alicante. Javea has over 20km of coastline and a a wide choice of beaches from the golden sandy bay at El Arenal to the secluded coves such La Grandella. El Arenal beach is Javea´s main commercial beach area. It features golden sands and a long wide promenade where you can find a great choice of bars, restaurants shops and night-clubs. A few kilometres north along the coastal road you eventually arrive at Javea´s port where whitewashed houses surround the bay and harbour where you can watch fishermen bring in their catch or admire the many sail boats and luxury yachts moored in the marina. There are also many good shops, cafe-bars and seafront fish restaurants here.
The old town of Javea is rich in medieval history with its 5th century Gothic church and narrow cobbled streets now lined with stylish boutique shops, bars and restaurants.
