Cabo de Palos is the most southerly place on the Mar Menor and located at the base of the famous La Manga Strip. It is a large fishing village with a beautiful, quaint marina which is home to about 100 small boats and numerous good quality diving schools. The marina and seafront promenade are lined with stylish café bars and superb seafood restaurants serving a great selection of freshly caught fish. The views of the dramatic, rocky coastline and are truly stunning and reason enough to come and while away a sunny afternoon in one of the local bars or restaurants.
In addition Cabo De Palos also boasts a superb golden, sandy beach with its southern point being dominated by the town's famous light house. Away from the marina there is a new shopping centre with large supermarket and more bars and restaurants for you to enjoy. The Sunday morning market is also a popular attraction. There are over 100 stalls selling fruit, veg, clothes, shoes, bags and home wares as well as several food stalls which serve both breakfast and lunch.
