Serena Golf is a new residential area located on the South side of the popular family beach resort of Los Acazares and just a few minutes walk from the old town centre, marina and beaches. Development of this new area Los ALcazares started around 12 years ago but due to the global financial downturn work stopped shortly after. All the infrastructure had been completed first and the area already has roads, pavements, lighting, play parks and well Large well lit, landscaped promenades in place. The residential area of Serena Golf encircles the superb 18 hole Serena Golf Club close to the Mar Menor Sea and many of the properties have both sea and golf course views. The 4 star Caleia Serena Golf & Spa Hotel is also a key feature of the area and both the golf club and hotel have facilities such as restaurants, bars and spas that are open to the public. In addition, there are 2 independent bars/restaurants that both also sell fresh food and general groceries as well as a petrol station. Los Alcazares´s main bus station is also located in the area with regular buses to the new town area, Cartagena City, Alicante and The new Region of Murcia Airport.
The main town centre of Los Alcazares with its shops, bars and restaurants and beaches is only a short 5 to 10 minute walk away and there is a Dialprix supermarket selling international brands just a short walk away. The are is great for this looking for a new property in a quiet, smart, new area with plenty of open space, sea views and a short walk for the main tourist areas. Due to it being a new area property prices here can be up to €100k less than in the more built up and crowded areas of the established town of Los Alcazares.
